This seems like it should be so simple, but there is no way to add to an already-existing playlist. What if I have put together a playlist for an artist I like, and then they come out with a new album -- I want to add the new album to the existing playlist, but this does not seem to be possible!

agreed, this was a big pain point for me with my ipod. I would create playlists and then listen to new music on the go and want to classify them into playlists, I would almost always forget them when I go home.

I can't believe there aren't more requests for this. How many times have you heard a new artist or song on Rhapsody radio and wanted to somehow remember it for playing later.
The answer is to simply add the song or album to a previously setup "new music" playlist via the remote controller. This "Add to playlist" option could be on the same menu as the "Add to My Library" feature. Right now, the only option is to write it down, which inevitably doesn't happen. Or to add it to your Library, which places it into the sea of thousands of other songs making it impossible to find later. Currently, I can set up a "new music" playlist in Rhapsody, but I can't add songs of interest to it using the remote controller. Please, please consider this new feature. |

kdaman,
There have been plenty of requests for this. Those posts may have been archived now. Quote:
The only way you can "add" a new album to an existing playlist (AFAIK) is: queue up the playlist add the new album to the queue Save the playlist (by re-typing in the playlist's name) Yes it's a pain. Hopefully this feature (and many others) are forthcoming.

I have a wide range of music, and do not want to browse through it all to create my playlists.
Instead it would be nice to just listen to the music from my NAS, and when i hear a "forgotten favorit", I would like to add it to my "Party" playlist or "Chill out" playlist or any other. The process og selecting the playlist, and then add the new track is not dynamic... In my world it looks as a simple request

I find myself constantly updating my Sonos playlists - and I am tired of typing in the same name on my Sonos Controllers to save on top of an existing list - trying to remember exact letter capitalization, etc. These lists are often linked to alarms as well so using the same name is important for that reason also. We'd like an option when saving a play list to save as an existing name (save over an existing list).
Alternatively, it might be easier to allow new material to be added to existing lists instead of only added to the queue. - still though I'd open the list and rearrange it and want to save it back to the same name. |

This is something I'd like to see.

This is a recurrent theme. I've knitted the above two voices into the a chorus.
