Default "Sound Ideas" posting rules - PLEASE READ

In an effort to try and add some structure to the suggestions, such as avoiding duplicates, we'd like to institute a few rules for posting:

Essentially these boil down to:

* One idea per thread
* One thread per idea
* Thread title describes feature

The aim is to separate out ideas so they are easy to find, and to keep support for an individual feature in one place.

So, please make sure to search the forum using the search feature in the top menu bar (the search this thread feature doesn't currently work, we're working on that).

If you don't already find a thread on your idea, please post it, with only ONE suggestion per thread.

(The main reason we re-launched the suggestions area was because it was a mess and hard to find previous similar suggestions. This resulted in lots of duplicates which in turn made it even harder to search through)

If you'd like to support an existing suggestion, no matter how old, by all means post a reply on that thread...please don't start a new one. Posting against the original thread will "bumps" it to the top which will make other forum users more aware of it and attract more comment. Forums are for talk so we're not going to discourage it.

Also, in "Sound Ideas", we are more then happy to have "me too" or "+1" types of posts, as the whole point is to gauge interest. If you want to make other comments then these are encouraged as well, but please read the whole thread before doing so or you could easily be reposting something that has already been covered.

Also, if you do post a new suggestion, please make sure the thread title describes the feature concisely. A topic title like "A fantastic idea" will be edited to something more useful and reasonable.

Please avoid posting polls in the "Sound Ideas" forum. Polls are more appropriate to the "General Discussion" forum. Experience has shown that most polls are repeats of existing feature requests. These WILL be merged with the original request. Often doing this will remove the poll completely. You have been warned!

Also be aware that moderators will take corrective action for any "Sound Ideas" threads which don't adhere to these simple rules. Typically this will mean:
* Threads with multiple ideas or which are not feature suggestions will be moved to General Discussion
* Threads duplicating an existing idea will be merged with the original idea thread
* Thread titles may be edited to make them easier to search, more descriptive, more appropriate, etc.

Complaints about such actions may be treated with derision

Lightbulb Here's a quick way to get started

Tip for new users:
Click this link
It will show you the most requested Sound Ideas from the last few months. Chances are your idea is already here. Feel free to say "me too" or add improvements to the ideas.

If your idea is not there, the search function should be your next stop before you open a new thread.

Your ideas are appreciated and lots of ideas were turned into new products and new software features already!
