Possibly, but they've never done this in the past, so I imagine the logistics are difficult.

Active beta testing is not publicly announced. But I do know that after the Napster failure, many forum members participated in the beta test of the fix. Neither you nor I would know if this is going currently on unless we are participating, so criticizing Sonos for not doing it is unfair. |

There seems to be silence in this thread, which seems a strange decision.

Dear Sonos Customers,
In addition to the PLAY:5 audio issue that we communicated last week, we have identified two (2) additional audio issues in the v3.6 release. Please find below a summary of the known audio issues with v3.6 release: - PLAY:5 stand-alone: Audio may sound diffused or “less centered” due to reversed phase on mid driver and tweeter driver. - PLAY:5 stereo pair: Audio may sound diffused due to incorrect internal EQ settings (not user configurable). - CONNECT:AMP (formerly ZP120) : When a subwoofer is attached to a CONNECT:AMP, both the CONNECT:AMP and the Subwoofer will play lower frequencies (80Hz and below) due to an internal EQ issue. Typically, only the attached subwoofer would play these lower frequencies. We are targeting a release during the week of December 12th to fix these issues, pending a successful test cycle. We currently have a Beta release available with these fixes incorporated. If you are interested in receiving the Beta software prior to our formal release next week, please click here. Many thanks to our user community for bringing these items to our attention and providing immediate diagnostics and information to help us quickly identify the root cause. We take our sound seriously at Sonos. We apologize for this misstep. Audio problems like these should not have made it into the field and we are already taking concrete steps to prevent this in the future. Sincerely, Sonos Customer Service |

New user to Sonos. Must say I am in Heaven.
Quick question...has anyone tried the beta test for the 3.6 patch yet? I signed up for it but am a little nervous to update my system as I have a big party tomorrow night and can't wait to show off the new goods! That being said if the update is going to make my new S5 sound even better than I'm going to go for it! Thanks any looking forward to the feedback |

Not sure if this is the right place to post - but I've upgraded to 3.6 on my sonos ... it now plays the first few seconds from any source and goes silent. If I skip back in the track, or mute/unmute it plays again for a few seconds.
I've powered off the sonos, restarted the app, reset the app - nothing changes. Help? I'm using this: CONNECT:AMP: Office (Associated) Software version: 3.6 (build 16547300b) Hardware version: 1.16.3.1-2 Plus a Mac with 3.6 (build 16547300b). |

ukd1,
Welcome to the forums. You most probably have a duplicated IP address. Reboot your whole network, by powering everything down then restarting each device in turn. Start the router first and wait for it to complete its boot before proceeding with the rest. |
