Default Broadcasting a radio to Sonos with VLC

I'd like to broadcast from my PC/MAC to my Sonos system, without connecting my PC/MAC to LINE IN of a Sonos device.

Since Sonos can play a "custom" radio feed, I was thinking I can simply broadcast using VLC to Sonos, but I can't get it working (I haven't tried much to be honnest).

How to add a custom "radio":

Before spending too much time, what kind of radio stream Sonos system is accepting? Seems only URL starting with "http://" are allowed (no RTP, RTSP... ?).

Ideally, that kind of feature should be integrated to the controller app, it would allow playing any feed from the controller device to Sonos system, could be nice.

There is a thread about this, and the concensus was VLC was horribly complicated to get working. Most settled upon Jamcast, which is easy and intuitive.

Today I was successfull!

Try the follwing from command line:

vlc.exe dshow:// --dshow-vdev=none --sout "#transcode{acodec=mp3,ab=128}:standard{access=htt p,mux=raw,dst=URL:PORT}"

Where URL is your url( example:
PORT is your port (example: 8080)

Then you have to add new Radio in Sonos: ""

That 's it!

Additional Info:
"dshow:// --dshow-vdev=none" means VLC Input from internal Soundcard
You may choose other inputs
