Default adding music to itunes - how does it get to Sonos?

this feels like a silly question but when I add music to my itunes, shouldn't it become part of my playlists on sonos automatically? If not, how do I update the sonos controller to show all of my music, including recently added? I see my new music in 'recently added' on my itunes, just not on my sonos. Help! Thanks!! Jeannie

You need to reindex in order to add new music. On the handheld controllers, go to Settings->Music Library Management->Update Music Index Now. From the Desktop Controller, choose Music->Update Music Index Now.

Ftrom the sonos controller on mac go to music and then Update music index now.

On an iPhone at the bottom of the music menu tap settings> Music Library Management>Update Music Index Now.

Hope that helps.

Edit: Oops too slow on the draw.

Jerra, note that you can set your Sonos to automatically reindex every day. Go to same menus as above and choose Schedule Music Index Update.

That would be great, but I don't see that option? when i touch music library management on the settings menu, all I see are 3 - update music index now, music library setup, and view contributing artists. where would i find the schedule option?

Thanks. Jeannie

by the way - i'm using an iPad as my Sonos controller if that matters, but i wouldn't think it should!

Strange, it's not on the iPad. You'll have to use the desktop controller.
