Default Different tunes, in different rooms

Hi, new to Sonos and we are having a little issue with trying to play different music in different rooms. Is this due more to our download/Internet speed or more to do with the distance from the router - any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

Can you tell us a little more about what you're trying to do? Your system should easily play different music in each room if that music is from your local library, but if each is attempting to access internet sources, then yes, your 'net connection speed could be a factor.

Basically trying to play music from our PC library. I'm wondering if it's our router and internet providers speed that may be the problem?

Describe your network for us. Include EVERYTHING on your network. Which model router are you using? What is wired? What is wireless?

Where is your music stored?

If you play from your PC music library then it's NOT your internet provider.

It could very well be that your PC can't handle the multiple IO requests smoothly.

I would highly recommend using a dedicated NAS device. I'm using a WD Netbook World, it's 1 TB and costs under $150. The read speed is good but the write speed is pretty slow. I've had no problems playing different songs on three different ZPs in different rooms.
