Default expanding sonos system

Hi

I could do with some advice on the best solution for now expanding my sonos system throughout my home.
I currently have 1 zone player and 1 zone bridge and iphone as controller all my music is currently stored my macbook pro.

Our house is an 17th century property and the walls are very thick so have struggled with signal when the zone player is 15metres away from the zone bridge.

Also my music is on my laptop so when not on cannot be accessed.

So I have the following questions.

1. Will a zone player act as a repeater to help the signal as well as driving a pair of speakers or can it only do I job.

2. What is the best solution for storing music, I thought of buying a mac mini with an external hard drive or is there a better solution.

3.Can you have multiple Sonos desktop controllers on different pc/mac's.

hope you can help

1) Yes it will act as a repeater. Sonosnet is a mesh network, every unit talks to all the others and adding new units enhances the overall mesh.

2) Most people use an NAS drive. If you have an Airport, you can attach a simple USB drive which will act as an NAS.

3) You can have up to a total of 32 controllers - CR100, CR200, Mac/PC and/or iPhone/Touch.
