Default Getting Media Monkey playlists onto Sonos

Hello Everyone,
Newbie here, just got the BU150 bundle and all set up. Sounds cool! I have 75 playlists on my Media Monkey music management system. How do I get these onto the desktop and hand-held controllers? I'm running Media Monkey on a Dell PC and my music files are on a connected Lacie drive.

First post! Welcome to the forums.

SONOS will import any playlists that are stored inside a share that SONOS scans. Check to make sure that Media Monkey is storing the playlists inside a music share that is visible to SONOS. Changes to the imported playlists will not be visible until after the SONOS library is re-indexed. Once the imported playlists are available, you'll have access to them from [Music Menu] --> Imported Playlists.

Thanks for that, but could you please lead this horse to water....

How do you check what you suggest... assuming you are familiar with MediaMonkey ?

Hi Adrian

Have you cracked this as yet as if not I think I may have a solution for you.

Rather than me waste time typing this out if you don't need it I'll wait to hear from you

In order to do this, you have to run a script in MM. But, don't fret! This is actually pretty easy because someone has developed a script for just this task (as well as backing up your MM database).

MM scripts.

Download the script called "Backup 5.1". When doing this, click on the correct icon for your version of MM (2.5 or 3.0).

Save the file and then open the file. It will automatically install the script.

From there, open MM. To configure the script, I think you look under the "Tools" menu, then "Scripts" and then "Backup 5.1". From there, you can customize what you want backed up/exported (playlists) and where (the same share[s] that your Sonos will be indexing).

IMPORTANT! Make sure that the box (I'm paraphrasing here) labeled "Cleanup location each time" is NOT CHECKED! Otherwise, the script will delete any existing files in that location.
