Hello all!
I feel stupid, but everywhere people are saying podcast this and that, and Sonos is supposed to understand podcasts, right? I can't even figure out where I add it!! So, here are typical examples of the podcast links - the podcasts are naturally in standard RSS format: http://www.sr.se/rssfeed/rssfeed.aspx?Poddfeed=3970 How do I add this podcast to Sonos?? (Oh, that was just one, but they all look the same, right? BBC: http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio4/iot/rss.xml More at the directory: http://www.podcastdirectory.com/ ) Thanks alot! /marcus Last edited by mawi; Nov 10th, 2008 at 11:00 AM. |

Podcasts are called "Recent shows" in the Sonos radio functionality. You can search for them with the radio search function, when you select "shows" or "hosts" from the dropdown box right of the search field.
You can't add podcasts yourself, they have to be added by the service provider for Sonos radio, RadioTime. How to get your podcast included in the RadioTime service is described here: http://forums.sonos.com/showthread.php?t=10905

I believe podcasts are listed as "Shows" in the Radio section. Here's a link:

So Sonos supports RadioTime, gotcha!
Never heard of RadioTime, got some learning todo. Thanks! |

Hi
I tried getting Radiotime to add a podcast for me. Tech support got back and confirmed that they would add my request. (the Wilco podcast) but when I search in recent shows it doesn't turn up. It's a bit of a faff. While Avee's script works very well for adding podcasts, it would be great to be able to search a full podcast directory rather than radiotimes' own list. Adam

http://radiotime.com/program/p_167541/Wilco_World.aspx It won't show up on Sonos because these are aac streams, which Sonos doesn't support.
