Default A handy workaround for iTunes and index limits

I'm constantly getting new music throughout the day and need to listen to it as part of my business.

I have opted to maintain two different iTunes libraries on two different PC's so these rapidly-arriving review materials etc. don't get comingled with my "permanent" personal collection (and edge me closer to the indexing limit on the Sonos).

One downside of this is that my iTunes is only indexed once a day, so any of the day's arrivals aren't visible in Sonos. I discovered a handy use for the line-in on the ZP-80 and ZP-100 and my iPhone.

I take the line out from my review library pc's audio out and run it into the Sonos line in. By choosing iTunes as a line-in source, this gives me full access to the updated iTunes library (with updated smart playlists!). Using my iPhone and the free iRemote app, I can control what is playing, see the artwork, pause, etc. as well as access all of the iTunes radio stations. There is a slight delay in the response due to the line-in rebuffering (pauses, volume changes, etc ), but this is a handy way to use iTunes native functionality from your Sonos system, plus the iPhone/iTouch is easier to carry than the Sonos Controller.

P.S. There is also a new iSonos unsupported app on the iTunes store which I just downloaded and hear good things about from the Sonos unsupported forum.
