Default Line-In Distortion

I have had my Sonos for about two weeks now and I love it. Only one problem. I am getting distortion when I use a "line-in" source such as a CD changer hooked up to my home theater.

My AV receiver is a Denon AVR-1082. I have connected it to my Sonos system through RCA plugs from the "multi-zone" output of the Denon receiver.

Is there a better output on a receiver to use? Is some distortion to be expected no matter what I use?

You should get no distortion at all.

The best connection to use is the Tape out, Tape Rec or monitor ports.

The port you are using seems to be a proprietary one for another purpose.
