I am about to move on installing outside, patio speakers. I have a set of traditional outdoor speakers with the brackets but the way my eaves and roof lines run, it would not be easy to get these at a reasonable listening level or separated as I would like
As well, it will be easier for me to run speakers through the foundation and under the wooden deck to wherever I want to position the following flower pot speakers. Has anyone used the following type: http://www.outdoorspeakerdepot.com/o...ader-oshfplspp What do you think? I considered rock style's as well but since I have flower pots on the deck, I felt that I would not lose any space by substituting these in their place. |

I have these speakers. I bought tgem about 3 months ago. I hooked them up to a connect:amp and was terribly disappointed in them. The sound was shallow and lacked fullness. I disconnected them and they are sitting on a shel in my garage waiting for a better area to use them in. If you want background music at low levels they are good. IMHO the old saying rings true. " you get what you pay for". If you spent the money on a sonos connect:amp or connect and want music do not limit the sonos with these speakers. If you want background music or listen to a baseball game on the patio these might be a good option. I give them 1 star out of 5 for my original application. Hope this helps.

I installed the flowerpots and again the real motivation was the ease of running wires through my foundation and under the deck versus trying to install speakers under the eaves.
Anyway - I think these are an excellent option, the separation sounds great, and they were ridiculously inexpensive. It is almost a waist to hook them up to a Zp120 but the solution works great. |

I went with a single AX600TT mounted under the eave. Its dual voice and sounds great. Unfortunately, I don't see it on their site anymore.
