HI
I hope this is not a silly request, but I am wondering if I can play a utube clip or something from eircom musichub which is a free music service I have on my computer? I can play from my NAS and all the free radio stations in the world (although I only listen to 2 regularly!), but I can't see any reference to being able to play either of the above. I hope I am not missing something really obvious in the setting up or use of the options on the controller, but I can't find anything. Any ideas would be gratefully received. DNT |

You can not redirect the audio output of your computer using the network connection. (without using additional software/services)
If you would like to do so, the easiest way is to use the line-out of the computer to the line-in of your ZP. |

You would need to send the audio stream from your computer to Sonos. There's no built-in facility for doing this other than wiring a soundcard to a Line-In jack, and the workaround solutions vary in their degree of ugliness.

Thanks, "Ratty" and "Davey400". I have a play 5 in the same room as the computer so I will experiment with that and see how it goes. I was afraid I was missing something in the controller software, but obviously not.
Thanks again. DNT Last edited by DNT; Jun 6th, 2012 at 07:17 AM. |
