Default Connect keeps dropping out

Odd issue, one of my Connects keeps disappearing from my list of available zones.

No issues in "adding a new Sonos component" to find it again and it seems to play just fine once I've re-added, but everynight it "disappears".

By chance, I was in the room it is located in when it started beeping and disappeared from my zone list. Any ideas how to fix this? None of my other SONOS components (including another Connect) is exhibiting this behaviour.

I have done a full system shut down and reboot (from the modem and routers on up) and the problem persists. All of my compenents are assigned IP addresses so there are no apparent conflicts there...

pablotdi,

Yours is the only CONNECT that has been reported as "beeping". To my knowledge the connect is not able to beep -- under any conditions.

As a test, wire the CONNECT to the network. If the unit's network link lights go out, there is a hardware problem -- either a bad network cable or a defective CONNECT.

Just a thought: a 'beeping' could be coming from the switched mode power supply, perhaps as the load changes. Maybe something's going awry there.

Turns out it was my Harmony Remote that was beeping (low battery) and it had fallen in behind where I hide the Connect

On the plus side, since the 4.1 upgrade, it has stopped droping out. Will keep an eye on it but so far so good.
