Default Western Digital Nas Drive

I've set up my new Sonos Play 5 system.
I've set the address for my music library. First of all it said the file didn't exist. I reconnected the system, it then found the file, but only found 5% of the library content! the music is in mp3, mp4 & wma format. What it found was a mixture of formats, & some of it was only part albums.
Can anyone help.

Cheers
Peter

Peter

I found that I had to make several passes when first setting up my Sonos. Make sure iTunes (if you are using that) is not running whilst you are indexing, as this may stop Sonos completing the task. Also be aware that there is a 65k limit for files, and that tagging issues may reduce this limit significantly if the files are poorly tagged.

petertivi_123,

Welcome to the forums.

Sonos builds the library index from the tags. If tags are missing the files will be missing from some/all of the main views. Look in the Folders view for the files.

Note that any DRM-protected files will be inaccessible to Sonos.

WD drives are normally docile beasts. Please describe your system for us and describe how the components connect. Where is the NAS connected?

Does the Sonos controller issue any error messages?

petertivi_123,

Were the problem tracks purchased from iTunes?

I suspect that this is the same issue.

(if so, moderators will merge the threads in an effort to keep everyone sane)
