Anyone have thoughts/recommendations on an approach to get the Sonos Controller on a Windows Mobile phone? I'm sad to see Sonos only supports iOS and Android, but love my new Windows phone and long to use it as a controller.
I submitted a question to Support and got a generic "we don't comment on future products" response. |

There is a big difference between Windows Phone and Windows Mobile.
It is very unlikely for Windows Mobile to be supported; this platform has been abandoned by allmost every developer. Many people are hoping for a native Windows Phone controller; but you know Sonos: they "don't comment on future products".... Until the official software arrives, there are some 3rd party tools, like Phonos and Sonata. |

If you really mean "Windows Mobile" then there is an app from Versagroup for that. If you in fact mean "Windows Phone" then like davey400 says you have a few choices of unofficial apps: I wrote the Phonos app.

Thanks for the reference for the non-Sonos Windows Phone controller app. I'd like to hear form Sonos as to when an official Sonos controller app will come out on the Windows phone marketplace. Please make this a priority. Thanks

Sonos doesn't dialogue in public about potential future developments. Features come along without prior warning. I'm sure they'll be keeping an eye on the development of the WP market share. |
