Default On component, ZP100 not updating to 3.8

Guys

Ihave just ran update 3.8 on my system. 1 play3, 1 play5, 2 iPad controllers, ZP90 and a ZP100. All updated fine and playing fine except ZP100. It says initiating update then fails. I have unplugged everything and connected it directly to Main bridge... Still fails update with the 1013 error...

I have since re-added all components and are all working except the zp100. When I leave it off and try to add, it detects its np..I can rename etc.. But then updating fails..

I have tried a factory reset.

Any ideas?

Thanks

J

If it's wireless have you tried wiring it?

Sometimes this failure can also be a symptom of a duplicated IP. For good measure I suggest you power everything off and restart in order:

- router
- wired Sonos devices
- wireless Sonos devices
- NAS, wired computers and other wired devices
- WiFi connected devices

Wait for each device to reboot fully before moving to the next.

Ratty

Yes I have removed all components from network apart from router, one bridge and the ZP100, still the same.. Fails on update at initial bit, doesn't even try to download the update. Just sits there for 2 mins then fails.. Once I press update, the unit starts flashing amber white

Alternately amber/white suggests it thinks it's updating.

Power off everything on the network.
Start the router.
Wire the ZP100 to the router and start the ZP.
Start an iPad (they seem to be your only controllers).
Attempt the update via the iPad controller.

I fear that you may need to seek advice from Sonos Support. Before doing so, just check that you can access http://update.sonos.com/ from a browser. You should see a message of the form "Sonos Update Server (UPD00x) SM_00x".
