I have my iTunes songs on my iphone/ipad and want to stream them on Sonos. How do I do that? Previously I have Airport Express connected to my old stereo and choose simply what I want to play (itunes / spotify / SRplay) on my iphone or ipad to the selected wireless network. Is that not possible on Sonos?

I emailed tech support this question myself a few days ago and got this response - hope it helps:
iDevices are not capable of standard network sharing and so their libraries cannot be indexed by the Sonos System. If you want to use the library from an iDevice you would have to use Apple's AirPlay with a dedicated AirPort express wired to the Line-In of a Sonos Component. Alternately, I would recommend either indexing the library on your computer and controlling it from your iPad, or getting a Network Attached Storage ( NAS ) drive. |
