Default Sonos for all Seasons

My Suggestion would be an Audiophile Sonos at minimal cost.

Do
  • Use a decent external, non switching power supply
  • Supply a decent Mains lead and IEC connection
  • Supply a half decent Digital Interconnect
  • Maintain connectivity to standard Sonos
  • and most importantly State of the Art Bitrate
    • use a metal case

Don'ts

Mess about with DAC and output amps..keep standard but allow user to add their own DAC...the output amps will define the sound so users will buy a new DAC to suit the rest of the system and their pocket.

Why not partner with "Naim".

You both have the Brand in your own way and can contribute equally to the partnership to both's advantage.

I'd be happy to Beta test the item.

cheers
dave

I've moved your post from Sound Ideas as it touches on a number of areas. We ask that posts to that forum stick to the 'one topic per thread' rule. I thought of merging the post with a 5-yr old thread but decided to let the latter sleep in peace.

On the hi-res question, there's a particularly 'popular' thread at http://forums.sonos.com/showthread.php?t=7951
