Will Sonos ever have a "Play From Here" button in the app? It's incredibly inconvenient to play a set of songs that might happen to be in the middle of a long playlist. This is pretty common on Spotify.
For example, I might have a playlist composed of numerous albums. If I want to start playing an album in the middle of a list, I can't simply click on the first track and have Sonos play continuously from there. I have to queue every song individually. In other words, I can only continuously play a playlist if I start from the very first song in the playlist. |

Welcome to the forums.
You can "play from the track which I select in the queue" at any time. To play an album from a track other than the first, simply "Add to Queue" or "Replace Queue" then select the track which you want. The same applies to anything loaded into the queue: playlists and so forth. Sonos will play from the selected track and stop at the end (unless of course Repeat or Shuffle modes are selected). Media players seem to divide into those with an explicit queue like Sonos and those with an implicit queue like Spotify. (With Spotify there is also an explicit "enqueue" option too.) People can prefer different styles, but personally I'm happy to know what Sonos is going to play and not have it steam unexpectedly on into albums which just happened to follow the one I first selected. |

If you have a playlist, you can add that to the queue, and then open the queue and select the song you want to play from.
Cheers, Keith
