Imported Playlists Problem

I'm having an issue with importing my iTunes playlists. Some of my playlists are imported when I re-index, but not all of them.
Here's the set-up: I have my music collection stored on a NAS. The music folder on my NAS is also where iTunes points to to store both the "itunes library.xml" and "itunes library.itl" files. I have my Music Library setting on the Sonos Desktop Controller pointing towards the music folder on my NAS.
I suspect that Sonos is importing the playlists from an old XML file titled "itunes music library.xml" on my C drive, as it never seems to update my most recent playlists. It DOES however update the music library to reflect new music that I have either purchased or ripped.
In terms of library size, I have about 40,000 tracks. My playlists have about 5,000 tracks total.
Any suggestions?
