That is frustrating. I can check on my wife's iPhone4 tonight and see how it works. Have you tried re-installing the app?

Yes, reinstalling was one of my first trouble-shooting steps. Thanks for running a test. Make sure Wi-Fi is off.

AustinJerry, with my wife's iPhone (AT&T 3G) same behavior as you describe. Works good on Wifi. Switch to 3G only and massive delays starting a station with drop outs and then delays between songs. Hope you find a fix.

Thanks for confirming this. I feel better knowing it is not an isolated issue. So far, I have not had any luck with getting a response from Pandora. I don't know what the track record of their support organization is.

Wouldn't this be an AT&T issue? I can't imagine Pandora knows nor cares what path the 0's and 1's take to your device.

For the record, one of my install crews played Pandora over Verizon all day yesterday, so it's not a mobile/3G issue, in and of itself.

I agree with you. While the issue is happening on my iPhone, I can turn on Wi-Fi, and the problem immediately disappears. However, I am not getting the usual indicators of a network issue, e.g. "buffering", or "unable to connect". At this point, I am beginning to think AT&T might be throttling users of the app (although my month-to-date data usage is under 1GB).

I posted this issue on the Pandora Facebook page, and have received several confirmations from other posters that they are seeing the issue as well.

I will contact AT&T today to see if anyone can help.

Default Pandora issue has been resolved

After working with Pandora support for several weeks, I am happy to report that the issue I reported has been resolved.

There seems to be a forum on Facebook.
