Default How to start playing the queue with CR200?

While I’m playing a radio stream, I can build a queue from the library and, if using the Desktop Controller, I can start playing the queue at any time by double-clicking on any selection within the queue display, without having to save the queue as a list. How can I do the same with the CR200? I can build and consult the queue, which shows “Queue (Not in Use)” at the top, but clicking on selections within it doesn’t do anything, and there is no Play button at the bottom; Only Clear, Edit, Save and the back arrow.

I'm unable to duplicate your symptoms.

If I start a radio station playing, then build a queue, when I select 'View Queue' and tap one of the entries, a little arrow appears on the left of the selection, indicating it is now playing. If I tap the back arrow, I'm back on the Now Playing screen, the artwork matches the track, and the track is playing.

When you tap a track in the queue, it doesn't display that arrow, but doesn't throw an error either?

Thanks for the feedback, NoBoB.

That’s right: No arrow, no error, no clicking sound.

At least… That is what I had experienced every time (admittedly not that many) I tried this maneuvre over the past 10 months or so.

Now, I’ve been able to start a track playing… a few times.

But there is still some considerable resistance from this controller – only in this situation, which is strange because, in any other situation, on the contrary, it seems to be hyper-sensitive, activating buttons by the mere presence of my fingers in the vicinity of the screen, around the edges. It even sometimes goes into a fit of random phantom clicks on its own, when lying on the desk, untouched, selecting various functions in the process.

Anyway…

The important thing is that I now know that starting playing from the list is indeed supposed to be possible at any time.

Cheers!

My most used CR200, the one which sits by my PC, also displays this unusual "phantom" behaviour from time to time. In fact now and again my Sonos system freaks out and will not play at all except in short bursts. Can't help but feel that wireless interference is behind this in some way!

This all sounds rather reminiscent of the twin CR200 gremlins:

Dead spots on CR200
CR200: ghost in the machine

A call to Sonos Support may be the order of the day if the CR continues to behave inconsistently.
