ZonePlayer not found

Hi,

I am trying to connect to my ZP120 via desktop controller (or iPhone), while using Wifi and the controller is not responding. When I connect via the ethernet, no problem. Wifi works fine for internet, but just not for the ZP. It has worked in the past though. Thoughts?

The ZonePlayers will ignore WiFi and WiFi will ignore the ZonePlayers. At least one ZonePlayer or ZoneBridge must be wired to your router.

Hi, One of the 3 zoneplayers is wired to a switch. And while this was working recently, it just stopped.

What has changed? Router? Switch? Computer operating system update? Computer firewall update?

Do you have a SONOS handheld controller? If so, can it control the system?

Hi again,

The only change that has happend is that my Wifi went down. I reset my wifi router and my wifi was back up. My internet connection never went down and I have been able to control the Zoneplayer through the wired conenction from when the time the wifi was down until now.

I dont have a remote controller, as I ussually acces the system from the desktop controller or my iPhone. Should I reset my wired sonos 120? Are there any specific lights that I should check.

If you have reset your router and are having problems with Sonos, it's a good idea to cycle the power on your Sonos player(s). The router issues your IP addresses, and resetting the router may cause a confilct that requires issuing a new address. Power cycling the ZP will force a new address.
